We are only in the 5th month in 2019, and the motor brands haven’t stopped surprising us with their new creations, including newly launched Hyundai Venue and Tata Altroz. And here are a much-awaited brief and factors to compare cars that have captured the market since the launch.
Design and engine performance
For all the hype, Hyundai hasn’t done much change in space and dimensions. Hyundai Venue is one the narrowest SUVs also being short in height. At 2500mm the wheelbase also matches with overall dimension. So Hyundai Venue doesn’t set any benchmark in size when we compare with latest cars.
On the other hands, Tata Altroz flaunts grandeur with its longer and wider space dimensions when we compare new cars. Altroz is built on ALFA platform and is Tata’s second model that features IMPACT 2.0 design. It shares a similar wheelbase as Hyundai Venue at 2501mm.
As for the engine capacity, critics award Hyundai Venue as of the most powerful petrol SUVs. This says so much about the SUVs performance. Hyundai Venue comes with two petrol engine variants - 1.0-liter turbocharged engine and a 1.2-liter self-aspirated engine. Apart from having a powerful petrol engine, Hyundai Venue crowns as the only SUV to have a dual clutch transmission.
The latest hatchback Tata Altroz is not far from the Venue when it comes to performance. Unlike Venue Altroz offers a diesel engine variant along with two petrol engine variants, which are:
Hyundai has become many customers favorite for being the first connected SUV in India. Now you can go truly digital on-road. Hyundai Venue offers another perk of technology with e-SIM, which lets you control your car settings using your smartphone. The Venue also offers remote AC control and door lock/unlock system along with remote engine start controls. As for safety, Hyundai has installed six airbags and an electric sunroof. It also features a bigger 8-inch touch-screen when we compare to latest cars.
When it comes to features Tata Altroz has managed to dazzle customers equally. Tata has set a new benchmark in design with rear AC vents in its new hatchback Altroz. The SUV features a 7-inch floating infotainment system with Android and Apple connectivity. As for the airbags, Tata Altroz offers only 4 airbags, which are less when we compare cars newly launched in the market. However, auto air-conditioning, brake assistance, and ABS with EBD are some amazing features one can’t overlook.
When buying a car, it’s important to know and compare cars variants on offer. Hyundai Venue has a whole list of variants on offer starting from the basic E, S, SX, SX+, SX dual tone, and SX (O). While Tata Altroz has only launched its ICE variant now holding back much awaited Altroz EV (Electric variant) for next year to launch.
