The Automotive SEM Study is a FREE 8 week program will guide car dealers through the proper setup, execution, and measurement of paid advertising campaigns.
For the study, we will be primarily focusing on Google Adwords and Facebook paid advertising campaigns. We will discuss Yahoo/Bing PPC but due to time constraints we can't deep dive into all four in 8 weeks.
Registration opened on December 27, 2010 and the study has now reached it's goal to register 100 dealers for this free educational program. This week is the last week that dealers can register and then the study will be closed.

Importance of SEM Education
Dealers need to understand how to inspect their PPC campaigns. Thousands of dollars are spent each month on PPC campaigns and yet only a few dealers know how to inspect those campaigns. Trusting your third party vendors is a dangerous gamble.
The study will also be showing dealers how to setup A/B testing for your PPC landing pages and microsites to improve conversion. A/B testing will help dealers KNOW which landing page design works the best to generate calls and leads into the dealership.
Anyone Working At A Dealership Can Join
No previous experience with Google Adwords is needed. In fact, a beginners webinar is scheduled for January 26, 2011 to prepare newbies for the official launch on February 15, 2011.
Members of the study must commit to participating each week with homework assignments and campaign management tasks. 2-3 hours of independent work a week will be required of all study members. Each week there will be a live webinar for teaching, coaching, and questions that will be 60-90 minutes. If you can commit to that workload, please don't sign-up.
Members should have authority or permission from your dealership to setup a PPC campaign and have a budget to run the campaigns. If you have never run a Google Adwords campaign in the past, request a budget of $1,000 a month for the two month course. 100% of that budget is for your ads, there is no commission or fees associated with your campaign.
