4 Car Models That Offer Efficiency and Economy in One Package

You need a vehicle you can trust to get you from point A to point B without costing a fortune at the fuel pump. Which models are the friendliest for your wallet? Below, four of the most efficiently running vehicles on the market are discussed.

Toyota Prius

The Prius is a top-seller for Toyota. This hybrid boasts over 50 miles per gallon average on the highway and in the city. The sporty vehicle has a low drag co-efficiency leading it to use less fuel with high and low speeds. Adaptive cruise control and the pedestrian warning system are two features that come standard on the 2018 Prius.

Honda Insight

The 2019 Honda Insight comes in a variety of versions. The LX and EX trims offer excellent fuel efficiency at an average of 52 miles per gallon combined. The touring version is a little less economical at around 48 miles per gallon. A 1.5 liter, four-cylinder Atkinson version engine goes well with the hybrid operating system. It is the same technology as in the Accord. The Insight pumps out over 150 horsepower giving you the ability to go for long rides in the country or commute to work, school, soccer games, and the grocery store affordably.

Subaru Impreza

This all-wheel-drive station wagon is not as efficient as the Prius or the Insight, but it does have some great advantages. A 13-gallon tank gets you almost 400 miles giving you an entire week’s worth of trips to school, work, or grandma’s house. A gas-only engine keeps you from needing a power station to recharge the battery at the expense of cutting fuel mileage almost in half. Still, the affordability and convenience of the Impreza make this vehicle appealing. Visiting a Subaru dealership can give you the ability to compare this model with other top-selling vehicles.

Subaru Outback

This four-wheel-drive vehicle is comparable to the Impreza at 28 miles per gallon with the four-cylinder engine. The six-cylinder version gets 22 miles per gallon. When you need an economical vehicle to get around town and go on the occasional road trip, the Subaru Outback may be the way to go.

This range of economical and efficient cars can help you find a model that looks good and keeps you within a strict budget. These vehicles are affordable at well under $30,000. When you want a practical and sporty vehicle, one of these picks might be the whole package.
