4 Car Accessories That Will Class Up Your Ride

With new features being introduced yearly on luxury and performance cars, it can be easy to get sucked into the need for a new ride to keep up with one’s friends and neighbors. Because newer cars are so dependable, drivers often experience few problems when driving up to 150,000 miles. Instead of making the costly decision to trade in for a newer car, one could instead choose some less costly accessories that will help class up their rides while keeping them on budget.

Bluetooth Stereos

With so many states enacting laws against holding a cell phone while driving, it is wise to use Bluetooth functionality while driving. Many older car models do not come with this connectivity, but drivers can buy Bluetooth-equipped stereos for well under $200. A simple DIY job will let drivers wirelessly connect their cell phones to their speakers for music playback, phone calls and more.

New Wheels

Instead of choosing wheels that are full of bling, Complex recommends choosing performance wheels that will improve handling on all types of road surfaces. Not only will they improve the ride, making it smoother and more efficient, but also new wheels, such as Rohana wheels from Extreme Wheels, will make any car look like a luxury vehicle. Consider a variety of options, such as stainless steel versus alloy wheels and colored wheel rims.

New Paint Job

A new paint job can take a car from stock to custom. Paint jobs range from cheap to budget-breaking, but a decent job can be done for under $5,000. Car owners should consider custom paint colors, racing stripes or much cheaper vinyl wraps if they are aiming to get a performance look.

Standalone Heads-Up Displays

HUDs project navigation as well as other dashboard info directly onto the windshield for a driver’s convenience. Drivers can see engine lights, speed, mileage and more without having to glance away from the road. While HUDs can be found in many luxury brands, any driver can have one by purchasing a standalone design for less than $500.

Drivers who otherwise enjoy or trust their current cars will want to take advantage of some of these accessories that can breathe new life into their rides. Whether one is looking for a luxury ride or a performance feel, a change that costs far less than the price of a new car may be the key. Many changes can be made oneself while others require professional help for accuracy.
