Jeff Kershner started work as a detailer in a small Honda store in Hagerstown, MD in 1994.
It wasn't long before those around him realized he had a talent for working with customers and made him a service and parts adviser. Within a few years, he had transitioned to selling cars with a rival dealer group and introduced them to the world of online retailing, which then propelled him to revamping the internet departments for a BMW dealer in Baltimore and Mercedes-Benz of Hagerstown.
While working the World Wide Web, Jeff realized there was no forum for people like him – people trying to sell cars over the internet and therefore he started DealerRefresh.com in 2004.
Since then, the site has become a must-read for internet professionals, dealership decision makers and automotive vendors around the country. One of those decision makers was David Metter of MileOne Automotive, who promptly recruited Jeff to be the group's eCommerce Manager in the fall of 2007. Since joining MileOne, Jeff has been integral in their online reputation management strategy, website transition and video SEO.
Philip Zelinger has a similar background drawn from his roots in the auto industry as a General Manager and Dealer Principal.
His successful twenty five plus year career in the retail auto industry started in 1976 as a salesperson in a Honda dealership followed by a promotion after only one year to General Manager for the same organization. After ten years as a General Manager within the same organization he continued his career with expanded opportunities offered as the General Manager for two Toyota Dealerships in the same market before earning a position as an Executive Dealer for a large domestic auto mall. He subsequently became the dealer principal at his own facility in Pensacola Fl and he authored two books on the auto industry including a career training guide titled, “How To Sell A Car.”
Mr. Zelinger shifted his focus to the automotive advertising industry in 1998 as the C.O.O. of a nationally recognized automotive advertising agency focused on Tier II and Tier III advertising. Ad Agency Online, L.L.C.
was founded by Mr. Zelinger in December of 2001 built on a proprietary operation system that provided an online communication and distribution system that now links a national network of independent affiliated automotive advertising agencies, production partners and automotive advertising vendors.
