Over the course of time, you see a trend in that every single customer who purchased a vehicle wears a red shirt. You’d probably start getting excited when you see a customer come onto the lot wearing a red shirt. In fact, you…Continue

In most dealerships a dispute inevitably arises between salespeople over a sold customer. Perhaps it’s because one salesperson initially assisted the customer and a second closed the deal and delivered the vehicle while the first was off for the day. Social media can be somewhat of a battlefield, and, to some degree, companies are being attacked from all sides. On the one side, there’s a battle being waged with social media platforms as they attempt to monetize themselves by reducing the organic reach in an effort to make businesses pay for exposure. An interesting article published in the Harvard Business Review by a Harvard professor makes some claims that many would argue against. Senior Lecturer, Frank Cespedes, argues that social media doesn’t affect the bottom line for companies and, due to that, is a waste of time.
Perhaps the most compelling reason for his conclusion is that the available metrics focus mainly on “likes, tweets,…Continue
Last year marked a turning point in the world of digital advertising.
Not so much a sudden, sharp turn, but rather a methodic and inevitable turn.
Digital advertising in 2014 is positioned to be a $120 billion industry that has, to date, relied primarily on best practices that are no longer meeting required criteria as well as methods of collecting data that are faulty at best. And there are many meanings. However, what it ALWAYS means is a successful 'upgrade' of the status of that consumer through your marketing and sales pipeline. Right?
So, you've heard a ton of recent expertise on what is, right now,…Continue

Recently I started to talk more about blogger outreach with dealers to test the waters on how effective it would work in the automotive industry.
Blogger outreach means developing strong online relationships with key influencers in your market and having them promote your business through their blog or social media channels.
This isn't anything new. Every social media specialist talks about it.
But what I'm proposing is to take it a step further…Continue

I recently read a post on why training dealers on SEO is not a waste of money and I’ve got to agree. As a member of a digital marketing team, I can see how having educated clients both makes my job easier and makes our strategy infinitely more effective.
I’d like to…Continue
