One of the outcomes that was clear from the 7th Digital Dealer Conference is that the demand for more knowledge on Automotive SEO and Social Marketing strategies is very high. A seminar room, limited to one hour, is just scratching the surface. There is so much confusion in the marketplace that needs to be resolved with openness and skills training; we don't need more sales pitches.
Skills training for Automotive SEO and Social Media is none existent. There has to be a way to get… Continue

I am going to make my best case for why PPC is a total waste of money in the automobile industry, and I invite you, the dealerships, or PPC salespeople to join the fun and make your case. This should be some fun, let’s keep it clean, and professional. In the interest of full disclosure I of course sell SEO, in many ways a direct competitor for PPC marketing dollars. (Even though we don’t agree with the logic) We do feel dealerships should do some PPC, as well as SEO, the problem we see are so… Continue

In hospitality, it's the Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons and Luxury Collection hotels, in aviation you're talking about the A380 and B787, and in automobiles Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Maybach, Lamborghini, Bugatti and the like. These brands beacon to those that can afford them and those that can't. They represent some of the finest in quality and reputation.
Now would you rather shop at Nordstrom or Sears, dine at Spago's or the Golden Arches and golf at Trump or your local public course?… Continue

The auto industry is struggling and auto dealers are turning to their automotive advertising agencies to deliver more for less.
Automotive advertising agencies are trying to accommodate their auto dealer clients but they are suffering from the same faltering economy as the retail auto industry. The resulting cutbacks in staff and resources limit the automotive advertising agencies ability to maintain market share and sales for their clients. According to Ad Agency Online, L.L.C. the… Continue

Keeping up with the 'Joneses' in the industry is something that most people want to do, if not beat them. The issues are typically time, resources, knowledge and access. While I've been using many of the online resources for a while, it's not the case for the majority of our industry friends. Also, there is a reluctance at different levels of the industry due to misunderstanding and ignorance.
Part of what IM@CS brings into clients is eliminating mistakes or the 'what not to do and… Continue

I sold my Ford Dealership in 2005, but I still bleed blue!
I began selling cars in the early 80’s when things where rough for Ford. They where still licking their wounds from Pinto. Then along came a miracle, the Ford Taurus. That car turned our business around overnight! We couldn’t handle all the people. We had factory orders 50 deep at any given time, It was unbelievable. Then came Explorer and Expedition, two more miracles, and man did we have a good run! Being a Ford dealer then… Continue

I just cam across something that I found interesting. I used the advice of Shaun Raines to help me post all my videos for great VSEO. I might ad that the results are out of this world! I also posted some of my videos on ADM, and I will say that they are now showing up very strong for my VSEO marketing results.

What is it that drives someone to perform? Along with the given family, friends, clients, bosses, partners and other tangibles and intangibles, it's simply that person's desire. Two things are clearly evident in the auto industry today: it's inextricably tied to the economy (if not one of the biggest drivers) and that companies reap what they sow, sometimes for an undeservedly long time. You can't change the economy but you can absolutely control what you do.
It's not rocket science… Continue

Well, I am on a quest to find out if anything can be done, and I think it can, to sync eLead CRM and Adams Systems DMS.
I work with eLead on a daily basis, but not Adam, but it causes a information jumble when it talks with eLead. This creates headaches for the sales guys (we only have guys) and the internet dept.
So, if any of you out there have any gems of wisdom on this topic, please pass them my way.
If any one out there uses these two systems, it would be nice to have a… Continue
