I think it depends on the features a dealership is looking for in a mobile solution.
WEB: Most major website vendors now provide mobile friendly websites and it is certainly easier to work with the same vendor for both.
APP: If a dealer wants their own app - well, they are wasting their time - no consumer is going to bother to download a dealer-specific app and use it to get information and carry on communications.
SMS: More and more CRM vendors, and many of the exhibitors at Digital Dealer next month, are starting to support SMS from within their software so dealers don't need to get a third-party mobile solution. Gumiyo's text capabilities are greatly limited by using a single shared common short code for every dealer in the U.S. thereby limiting SMS to one-way alerts or auto-responders to keywords but text is meant to be a two-way conversation between the dealership and their guests.
Vendors with their own proprietary short code they share amongst all dealers (like Gumiyo) cannot support natural language, two-way communications and the opted-in leads end up in a silo of data that cannot be leveraged by any other vendor working with the dealership (and forces a consumer to opt-in multiple times to the same dealership, once for each vendor supporting SMS). Look for vendors on the T-Short Code platform which creates one single opted-in database by dealership so it doesn't matter where the opt-in was generated. Consumers opt-in to the dealership, not the vendor, and they only opt-in once.
