About the Job:

As a Dealer Product Manager you will take “ownership” of our dealer-facing program tools and functionality.   You will lead the charge with researching, innovating, developing and launching new dealer products and services and find creative ways to optimize market trends and opportunities that align with our growth strategy.    This includes full accountability for all product life-cycle activities related to the development and launch of new website products or services at DealerRater.   Additionally, you’ll be the expert on buyer behavior and buying criteria for your products; and be the expert on the competition and how we should be positioned against them and in the Online Reputation Management (ORM) space.

This job requires someone who is an innovator – a visionary who knows not only how to improve existing products but more importantly can create great new products that drive demand in the dealership marketplace.   This is an opportunity for someone who has an entrepreneurial passion and wants to join a profitable, growing company to showcase their creative talents.  

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify new market opportunities for Dealers by becoming an “expert” in your assigned sector.
  • Manage all products and services in your sector throughout their product life-cycle, including researching, innovating and leading creative development/launch of new products.
  • Develop use cases and business requirements for website enhancements.
  • Research and analyze performance indicators across key traffic sources with the goal of enhancing the user experience and meeting business objectives.
  • Partner with senior management and our development team to ensure clear communication on website features and changes to support products and services.
  • Research, troubleshoot and provide solutions to business problems related to products and services at all stages in the product life-cycle including quality assurance testing and website prioritization of new features and enhancements.
  • Maintain a high level of competitive market intelligence acting as the subject matter expert to sales and our internal team for competitive information as well as on products and services in your defined area.

What You Need:

•     BA degree along with three to five years of related B2B product management experience.  Candidates who have automotive industry related experience and/or worked for an Internet company and have knowledge of digital marketing and the ORM space are highly desirable.      

  • Solid business judgment and someone who always considers the balance of making the right decisions to ensure successful implementation of a product or service.
  • Able to work cross-functionally within the organization and responds appropriately to needs and capabilities of different people.
  • Have a strong sense of pace and urgency to meet deadlines and optimize market opportunities.
  • Have a high degree of organizational skill and a strong ability to effectively communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders
