Check it out while you can... Because if the same legal notices come that TrueCar sent to YouTube, we'll be forced to take this video down. But in the meantime, you can see Jerry Thibeau's very compelling explanation and detailed presentation on exactly why TrueCar may be the worst thing a dealer can do...

If you find this video interesting, check out the Jim Ziegler blog post and the extensive string of comments from auto industry professionals at http://www.automotivedigitalmarketing.com/profiles/blogs/true-car-and-zag-cyber-bandits-or-good-for-the-business

Jerry Thibeau, president and Founder of 'Phone Ninjas' http://www.phoneninjas.com speaks candidly to the retail automobile industry about the clear and present danger to the industry posed by TrueCar. With Jerry's Friend Jim Ziegler, 'The Alpha Dawg' http://www.ZieglerSupersystems.com and hundreds of other dealers and car dealership managers, a movement is swelling to turn this threat around. With the Battle Cry "Kill the Beast" Thibeau asks dealers to cancel their affiliation with TrueCar and NOT entertain below cost that TrueCar promotes. Jerry Thibeau and Jim Ziegler are featured speakers at the upcoming Internet Battle Plan coming to Atlanta in January 2012. http://www.InternetBattlePlan.com

If you've seen this before I apologize. I agree with @Jim that Nada should get involved but they won't so......

GRASSROOTS Movement.

This morning I submited a lead threw un-Truthful Cars and when the dealers sent me their responses I replied with links to Jerry's video and other threads about the dangers of True Car. I made sure to include un-Truthful Cars legal actions to Jerry's video posting on You-Tube and how a company with True in their name is afraid of the TRUTH!!!!! Hopefully they will see this as the cancer that it is. If we do not do something about it it will metastasize.

LET"S GO PEOPLE>>>START SUBMITTING THOSE LEADS!!!!!!!!!!!

@ Tom:  This is a battle and it's not over yet.  Not until TC is out of dealers' data.  And their hokey partners keep them out, too!

Ralph, I think this forum is the straw that broke TrueCar's back.  I compliment you and Jim Ziegler and all that have commented here and ask that they pass on the information they have shared.

But TrueCar is just a battle, not a war.  The war goes on and requires more than just beating up on the enemy.  You must win the hearts and minds of the spoils of war (the consumer).  That becomes the next challenge.  Business as usual is failure.  Creativity, innovation, and knowing which way the wind blows is vital.

@Ralph....interesting information.....I still believe the NADA needs to take a stance on "proprietary transaction information" and stop ALL companies from trying this model....

If you take a look at what TrueCar employees are reporting to the employment monitoring site GlassDoor.com their comments seem to show vulnerability. If a grass roots movement to get dealers to cancel their data sharing agreements were to take hold and get some traction, there is a realistic possibility of putting down this threat to the auto industry's business model. The tension among TrueCar employees is palpable and could be the added straw that breaks this model's back.

@Cole - Thank you for offering interesting perspectives. You asked "Do you believe that we are going to head towards a system where the 100% price conscious buyers are going to be on TrueCar and the buyers that are looking for a good "experience" even it means spending a few extra bucks will go to the dealerships that are able to foster this type of experience?

My answer is a resounding NO.  TrueCar has placed themselves in an untenable position, in my opinion.  The may not survive it.  This forum has shown that dealers can and will fight back.  I don't believe TrueCar will be part of the equation, but others will follow in their footsteps.

I think price-conscious customers will always go where they go.  Our challenge is to create a market that caters to excellence.  I'm not talking about Ferrari vs Chevy.  I'm talking about the fact that the Internet has forced transparency upon us.  Prices have become a negligible impact.  We must differentiate ourselves once we have established price is not an issue.  WOW (Word of Web)
