Sales Meeting From Hell - Example of a "Sales Prevention Manager" in Action

Special thanks to Todd Smith for sharing this video in YouTube embed format... In this Sales Meeting From Hell clip, we see an example of what can best be described as a "Sales Prevention Manager" demoralizing a sales team and displaying his gross incompetence, as recorded by one of the sales people who obviously is smarter than the sales manager speaking in this video.

I downloaded this clip from YouTube after watching the one that Todd Smith posted so I could upload it to ADM and get it featured.

After being in this business for 18 years plus overtime, I am appalled that any auto dealer would have a manager who acts like this! Any owner who has a manager that acts like this imbecile and belittles people needs a wakening. People like this can ruin a business. Had I been in this meeting, I would have probably walked out and went to the owner's office, and I would have told the owner that I will not be talked to like this. YOU DON'T BELITTLE PEOPLE LIKE THIS. I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOUR POSITION IS, BUT THIS BEHAVIOR IS DEPLORABLE. I don't care if I ratted him out; the truth is the truth. Egotistical jokers like this guy HAVE NO PLACE IN OUR BUSINESS. I am surprised that this staff didn't walk out on him. This guy should have been fired for his rotten behavior.

An Alec Baldwin wannabe? I used to play "Glengarry Glen Ross" as a joke in Saturday morning Sales Meetings with breakfast catered in! It kept everyone loose. The following week it might be "Used Cars." Now we have Andre Braugher's character in "Men of a Certain Age."

I've worked for and with people just like him. And it was ALWAYS at a struggling store with declining sales. We were brought in to improve the sales process and increase the bottom line. Managers like that idiot made my job easy......get rid of him, and watch attitudes and sales results improve. Unfortunately, idiots like that sometimes have the support of the dealer principal.

Here's an idea for a sales contest: 1st place is a Cadillac, 2nd place is set of steak knives, 3rd place-you're otta here. Unfortunatley, I had to sit through a couple of these during my retail days.

What a jerk. I would never work for him or employ him. He needs to back to his former career as a Corrections Officer.

I have to admit that the first thing I did when I saw this is laugh out loud. It brought back a few memories! T, where ever you are, you make this guy look like a preschool nanny.

I'll be making sure that my part of tomorrows sales meeting will be you tube worthy. LOLOLOLOL

Sounds like this guy was to weak to admit that he wasn't doing his job.

At least he thanked the ones who were doing a good job ;) I'm sure they knew who they were just like the guy sleeping in the showroom did...yeah right.

That guy defines "Old School."
