This is my favorite car commercial EVER! It is a great commercial by Ford and, while long, it's worth every minute of watching. Just thought I'd share for those of you who may not have seen it.

This came out right when the Iraq war was in full tilt. I was working for Moss Bros at the Ford store and I remember getting teary eyed. Definitively a powerful commercial. I'm sure it didn't get alot of TV time because, well, a 5 minute commercial would have to be pretty expensive to run. That being said, I believe they should have spent the money and run it more. They've been selling "Buy American" forever and, during this time, patriotism was high and being able to emotionally touch someone's feelings and equate a Ford with patriotism couldn't have hurt sales at all. Anyways, I'm glad y'all enjoyed it!

Arnold, thanks for posting such a powerful video clip... When Dad opened that garage door, which caught me completely by surprise, it brought tears to my eyes! This is a good example of what one of the world's most successful marketers once told me... Bob said: "If the messages we send don't touch the hearts and psyche of our customers, then what we are sending is crap, and don't merit the distractions we've created...". I don't know what Ford did with this clip, but you'd have to have a heart of stone not to be touched by it.
