Nice adaptation to the tools available today. I especially like the fact you're making it easy for consumer w/out iPhones by providing them handsets to use...

Couldn't tell from the video, does the user have the ability to submit a contact request and/or click to call function?

For those dealers looking to leverage online classified sites, check out Web2Carz.com (among others) They will push your inventory to their iPhone app...Here's a short review of their site w/screen shots.

This is definitely an area that will see explosive growth over the next couple of years. Nice job to the folks at Collier...look forward to seeing other dealers push this movement as well.

This is GREAT! What a fantastic idea to attract the generation that J. D. Power calls "Millenials"... These are the same growing population segment that is driving the adoption of social networks, Twitter and who use texting like my generation uses speaking in person! They consider email to be old fashioned and inconvenient, but have driven the adoption of products like the iPhone and smart phones in general. Congratulations to Collier Ford for introducing what is simply the best innovation I have seen introduced in 2009... Let' hear a big shout out "Hou-Ya" to the Collier Team! You guys ROCK!!!

This is from Automotive News:

Collier Lincoln-Mercury's I'm a Looker iPod video walkarounds allow customers to browse vehicles at their leisure. Says Chad Collier: "The customer feels like they're in control. They can deal with the salesperson when they're ready."

2007 unit sales: 306 new, 930 used at Collier Lincoln-Mercury; 194 new, 922 used at Collier Ford REO
Idea: He co-created the interactive digital sales program I'm a Looker. Customers who are just looking are given an iPod with video walk-arounds of all new vehicles on the lot. A spokeswoman named Lena appears on the screen to explain the vehicles' various features.
