Today’s Get Fit Tip – How to Make Your Workout Better!
You just got off of a long work day at the dealership and it’s time to hit your workout. These days everyone is about maximizing their time and efficiency. Use these tips to make your workouts better and more effective:
#1 Limit Distractions – Put your cell phone in Do Not Disturb Mode and silence it, put the music on, and force yourself to not check anything on it (emails, texts, social media) while you are working out.
#2 Put Together An Epic Playlist – There is nothing worse than working out in complete silence (I mean who does that?), there are plenty of apps out there, like Spotify and Apple Music where you can compile all your favorite motivating songs or use the platforms pre-made playlists to get you pumped and keep you going through a workout.
#3 Train With A Friend – Training with a friend or significant other will give you extra motivation. You can push each other and hold each other accountable.
#4 Use Active Rest Breaks - If you want more “bang for your buck” with your workouts, try swapping your passive rest breaks (such as sitting down) for active ones. Some of my favorite examples include skipping, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, high knees or holding a plank.
So there are a few simple things you can do to get the most out of your workouts, but they can really make a huge difference (especially if you don’t have a lot of time to spend exercising).
