Hey Bill,

I like the idea a lot. Is that shot taken with a video camera or a "still" shot with a digital camera???

I would absolutely utilize a shot like this if I could apply it to my camera in the videos. The funny thing is the Owner literally just contacted this morning and said he thinks it might be a good idea to cut out my test-driving of the vehicles....... in order to save time. However, I think quite a few folks appreciate the fact that I actually drive the car that I`m talking about. Sooooooooooooooooooo what`s your opinion Bill???? Test drive or no test driving in the videos????

Comment by Bill Jenkins on April 12, 2012 at 9:05am

I currently have zero experience on test drive videos.  I recently bought a lens that addresses the need to capture a full room in a home within one frame, and after watching your video it struck me that a lens like that might be useful.

I've attached a photo taken from the backseat of my trailblazer...

And here's a second photo taken from the right rear seat. This one is interesting because you still see the road ahead and also the side of the driver's face.

Just wanted your insights on this idea, on the chance I can put it into practice.

Hi Bill - No I haven`t ever used that sort of lens....... what`s your experience with it???? It might be a great idea though.......

Agree with Ralph's comment, Ken's videos are top notch.

Question for Ken - have you ever tried the extra-wide angle lenses like realtor's use when you shoot the test drive shots from the back seat? I'm curious if that would help the viewer feel even more like riding in the car with you.

16,297 miles... I can't believe I remember that after watching this clip, but Ken Beam does such a great job of creating these videos that customers remember EXACTLY what he wants them to remember!
