I'm thinking its the type of sales person being hired. Some are great when the prospect comes to them but hate outbound calling or prospecting. You can not teach a person like that to be a followup or outbound sales caller.
The solution- get a sales team made of sales people, folks who have been prospectors, outbound types. Don't hire retail sales type either. Thats not selling, its waiting for someone to come in the door.
In my opinion based on 25 years of working with dealer organizations as resellers of my product, if you don't consider and than readjust the type of sales person you hire to fit into a true sales mode type, the CRM will continue to be worthless as a sales tool.

Stan was at my NADA Seminar/Workshop front row center...truthfully I recently found out that Stan is actually four brothers. They are identical quadrulets, that is how he seems to be everywhere. His entire life he has masqueraded as being one person. None of his girlfriends in high school, nor his teachers nor his employers were aware...he only had to attend class every fourth day. JIM
