There comes a time for all of us when writing content for our blog that we think, “There. That’s enough. I certainly don’t need any more content now!” Sadly, this simply isn’t true. There is no such thing as too much content, and to stay relevant, you will never truly be “done.” It is vital to the success of your website, blog, and ultimately your sales, that you continue to create and publish new, unique, and relevant content.

Why do you need so much content? So that when a shopper starts searching for their desired vehicle, based on a probable search term, your content and website is the one that pops up. When you’re running out of things to write about, take the following steps to get your thoughts rolling again:

1. Use your keywords.

Your readers will demonstrate their interests to you through your strongest performing keywords. Those keywords are the concepts that you should be writing around. Be reactive to your readers’ desires and create extra content around every old and new strongly performing keyword.

2. Stay informed.

There are many sources of valuable information for car dealers. F&I reports in the Washington Post, vehicle sales trends in the New York Times. Keep yourself informed, and in turn, find new content and ways to inform your readers. Take the information you read and relate it to your dealership to increase your sales.

3. Use your resources.

There are many great articles out there about dealerships, service, and sales. You can use these to create a foundation for your own content. Quote a relevant article and dissect it, relating back to trends and concepts that are important to your readers.
