As the Social Media world continues to ever evolve. Our need for social media micro community's continues to expand...where is Facebook heading now that they are about to go public, Pinterest is making a strong push to make Facebook search for new cool tools that mainstream will continue to adopt onto it's vast social media empire. The recent acquisition of Instagram for $1 Billion is a great move...Pinterest they say will soon account for nearly 40% of all Social media related purchases and that number is growing. As we move to a more photo sharing stage in Social Media, does this mean it's the end for Twitter...I don't think so but it really makes us take a stronger look to how and what content we are posting.

Appreciate the post and the slides. I have a question for you.

 

From the research I have done it appears one of the major ways to get likes for businesses is to offer incentives i.e. drawings, coupons, freebies etc. for likes. 

 

With Alpine I see that they are giving away a free oil change in exchange for likes.

Do you happen to know the ROI on doing something like that? Obviously this will vary depending on how you use FB and the other offers you make to the fans.

 

Is their attrition? In other words are people liking to get the coupon and then unliking?

 

Does driving traffic to that kind of offer with PPC make sense ? Anyone and everyone liking a particular brands FB page regardless of whether or not they own/owned that brand just to get the special offer.
