Thanks for posting this, Ralph! I'm always interested in taking a closer look at behavioral data when it comes to social media. Although, as you pointed out, I think their survey instrument was flawed, it's interesting to see that people report that they use social media primarily to observe rather than share. I have to say I'm not surprised. Yet another reason why it's so important for businesses to ASK for engagement when posting on their social platforms. If most users are in passively observing, they're not even thinking about the idea that those sharing actual want engagement.
