So what do you guys & gals out there think about doing "personalized clips" for your customers? Takes too much of your "Valuable" time right? i.e. coffee machine, newspaper, bs`ing with your buddies, fantasy football etc.

 

This entire clip from start to finish took 40 minutes of my time.................. not very long at all.

 

Want to "WOW" your customer? Of course you do.  Things like this WILL WOW `em! 

 

*As a Customer, don`t you think you`d feel pretty reassured and confidant with your purchase decision after receiving this? 

 

Well he certainly does because this beautiful Expedition has a one-way ticket to Missouri.

@ Tom - Well first off, thank you very much for the compliment, I do indeed appreciate that. Secondly the main objective for my posting this was to hopefully inspire some younger guys & gals in the automotive business to step it up a notch with their digital marketing practices. I`ve doing these sort of clips since I started with the Douglas Auto Group back in 2005 & they have certainly catapulted our on-line presence. Like I said Tom, perhaps some GM or Sales Manager out there in the country may come across this post and say, "Hey we`ve got to start taking the ball & running with it and try things like this at our dealership"..............Thanks again for your nice words.

Ken, I'm always amazed at your professionalism in your videos.  We've been sending personalized videos to almost all of our Internet email customers (and sometimes phone customers) since December 2009 after I saw Jim Ziegler recommend it at NADA.  It doesn't take long and it definitely contributes to a WOW factor.  We've had many people tell us that the video is what convinced them to come in. But I've never seen anyone do a  walkaround as well as you!  I've often used your videos as an example of how one should be done.  Thank you!

BTW, we've never had 100% buy-in from the sales staff.  But the Internet staff have made it a routine part of their job.  Some people are just too busy... "Takes too much of your "Valuable" time right? i.e. coffee machine, newspaper, bs`ing with your buddies, fantasy football etc." ;-)
