Simple Tips To Increase Newsletter Signups For A Car Dealership

There are countless marketing strategies that automotive industry businesses can use but the truth is that some of the older ones are still among the most effective.
This does include creating newsletters and driving promotion through them. Unfortunately, this does not mean that you just create a newsletter and people are going to sign up. You do have to put in work and grow the mailing list. How do you do this? By offering high-quality content and a reason for people to join. Here are some suggestions you can take into account.

Offering Sign Up Bonuses

This is definitely the most effective way to drive newsletter signups. You want to come up with some sort of reason why people would join the mailing list. For instance, you can offer a report about the very best used cars in 2017 according to specialists. Alternatively, if you cannot offer such new content, you can always go for discounts. People love discounts. If you can give them discounts on future purchases or on the first purchase you can expect a growing number of sign ups.

Publish The Newsletter Online After Sending It Out

People are wary to sign up to newsletters before seeing what they actually send out. We are often spammed after signing up so it is normal to be a little careful. A great way to show that you actually offer quality with your newsletter is to publish it on the dealership’s blog. However, this is a good idea only if the content that you offer will actually convince people to sign up. Examples of great content to include in the newsletters:

  • Interviews with a reputable DWI attorney about car safety.
  • Industry reports concerning used cars.
  • Driving related tips and tricks.
  • Reports about car sales in an area.
  • Photos of new cars sold.
  • Interviews with happy customers.
  • Showcasing business partners that offer quality to your car buyers.

Social Media Promotion

Not using social media to promote your newsletter is a huge mistake that way too many car dealerships make at the moment. When you neglect social media you neglect a huge potential selling point for your entire business and a promotional channel that is proven to be highly effective.

There are many different ways in which you can actually promote your newsletter on social media. The obvious choice is to invite people to join while you present the advantages of doing so. However, that is only going to work if you work hard with building a community on social media profiles. Be sure that you first develop a really good profile and a good following before trying to promote anything related to your business.

Final Thoughts

If you do everything above and you still do not increase sign ups, the best thing you can do is ask for feedback. Talk to marketing professionals that have experience with car dealerships. Also, do not neglect the feedback that you can obtain from people that already follow you online and that already subscribed to the newsletter.
