This past weekend, The Jim Click Automotive Group wanted to energize used car sales with a 3 Day Off-Site Sale, but did not know what advertising would effectively communicate all the aspects of the sale, drive the most prospects to attend the event, and then yield the highest possible number of sales. We developed a targeted strategy, and advised the client that a customized direct mailcampaign, including compelling reasons to attend combined with compelling reasons to buy, was necessary to guarantee traffic during the 3 Day Sale. We then identified 100,000 prospects in the Tucson market who received the direct mail campaign. The campaign medium elements included a Greeting Card Envelope that appeared to be hand addressed and also included an attached Gift Card to be used toward the purchase of a used vehicle at the sale. A Free Gift and a Sweepstakes, where prospects were guaranteed to win a cash prize, were also integrated into the campaign message. The result: Over 2,000 leads were generated and over 250 cars were SOLD.
