I think you can get a little creative & use Pinterest in your Social Media Marketing endeavors.
When you think about "TOMA" Top of Mind Awareness really matters & what better
way than to utilize your videos/pictures to stay right in potential clients mind.

People do search images too, so yes Pinterest is definitely a viable tool not to overlook.
Just make sure they backlink to either a landing page or some other source
on your website that`s relevant.

Definitely agreed! The funny thing is that (and this is not because I'm female) women are a HUGE part of the decision making process. Whether it is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, or the idea of capturing a lady's attention "Chick-Mag"; the double X chromed gender has some if not all influence on the final yay or nay! Awesome article Ken!

Ken, agreed. Thanks for the article.

@ Alexander - Very good point. Are you going to set the digital-marketing world on fire with Pinterest????? Absolutely not. While I do agree with your statement, "it's going to do very little in terms of boosting your sales", I also believe ALL of these various Social-Media-Platforms are really just different touch-points in regards to communicating with potential customers. Listen do I believe you`re ever going to really push the needle advertising on Facebook??? Nah...... but like I said earlier, I want to keep our business name out there & in people`s minds when & if they are considering a new or used vehicle. Just tryin` to keep the TOMA needle on the upper end of the digital spectrum & hopefully catch a fish or two while I`m out there. Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it.

I've tried this in the past and plenty. This might enable your SEO to improve through Social Signal (pins and repins), etc., but it's going to do very little in terms of boosting your sales. Pinterest has done away with do-follow backlinks almost two years ago. Yes, no-follows matter, but very, very little. If you're going to use it properly, it must be marketed from outside of Pinterst itself. Female buyers, definitely, this will work better with them than men, but then again, are you alienating yourself from male buyers by going after Pinterest. IMO, it's just one component of social signals, yet the bottom of the rung.

I like any tactic that can leverage the growing popularity of Pinterest for the benefit of car dealers... Especially focusing on female car buyers.

Absolutely! Imagine the possibilities with the "Place Pins" feature that rolled out back in November, I believe. Dealers should def be going gaga for Pinterest! Especially RV dealers. <3 it!!!
