Last Friday Navid Azadi, CEO of DealerOn visited my offices to demonstrate the software technology the he and his team have developed over the past 10 years. He was very excited about the new direction that his company was taking and I was very impressed with what I saw.

In fact, the picture above, that was taken from the DealerOn website, is the exact image in my mind as Navid relaxed and spoke to me in my office in a similar black leather chair.

He left my offices last Friday with a ferry ticket that I gave him so he could park his car in Atlantic Highlands and spend the weekend in New York City with his friends. He left with a big smile. He returned home from NYC and that ended up being his final resting place.

Today, I received a call notifying me that Navid had passed away. I immediately called his partner Ali to confirm what I had hoped was a false report. Ali confirm my worst fears that the vibrant CEO that was just in my office 5 days ago had indeed passed on September 22, 2009.

As a member of the ADM community, my prayers go out to Navid's family and the entire DealerOn organization.

I just heard about Navid's passing. I want to give my heart felt condolences to his friends, family and his employee’s and colleagues at DealerOn. I go way back with DealerOn. We were one of the first dealers to use the innovative E-Auto Savings Coupon and had outstanding success with it. I count the folks at DealerOn as some of my best friends in the industry. I am deeply saddened by Navid’s passing. He was a great guy with a huge heart. He will be greatly missed.

I wanted to take a moment on behalf of DealerOn Interactive, Navid's family, and friends to say "thank you" to all of you that offered your condolences during this most difficult time. Now that we have laid our friend to rest we will continue on with his mission to make this an exceptional company guided by a moral compass that will never lose it's way. His vision was to build a great company and leave the world a better place, he has indeed accomplished that, it's up to those of us that remain to continue that vision and carry on in his memory.

Navid thank you for being a wonderful leader, great friend, and a brother! My wife, my boy's, and all of us will miss you terribly. Rest In Peace!

Navid is one of those rare folks that in a nano second can leave an indelible imprint on you that will last a lifetime. I had the great privilege of his company and will always remember the laughs we had – he will be truly missed – but has been summoned to a higher calling. He was one of the most intelligent and professional in this industry I have ever met.– Peace – Prayers – Blessings.

I have had the pleasure of working and speaking with many people in our industry, and I must say that Navid was truly a professional that took a personal interest in the people around him, his clients and on providing support and encouragement to his peers. I am feel this is a loss to all of us.

My heart has been heavy since Tuesday morning when Jeff Clark called to tell me the tragic news. Navid was absolutely one of the best in the industry. I'm proud to have known him as a business partner and a friend.

My heart goes out to Navid's family both at home and in the Auto Business. This puts everything else we do into perspective. We have lost a class act.

I was privileged to meet Navid a couple of years back at NADA in San Francisco. It was immediately apparent that he was intelligent, driven, and an all around great guy. Since that time, he had become a great friend and someone I was able to learn quite a bit from. I'll miss him and hope to run into more guys like him in my personal and professional life.

I have lost a dear friend and business partner. I want to thank all of you for your condolences and support in this most difficult of times.

We have been receiving an out pouring of support from the industry, clients, vendors, and those that knew him in business and in life. For that the DealerOn family sends its most heart felt appreciation to all of you.
