NADA Announces Press Conference Schedule for 2012 Convention in Las Vegas


McLEAN, Va. (Jan. 17, 2012) – The National Automobile Dealers Association announced today the schedule for 21 press conferences at its upcoming Convention and Expo in Las Vegas, which runs Feb. 3 to 6.

All press conferences last 45 minutes and will be held in rooms 233 and 235 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Here’s the schedule:

Saturday, Feb. 4

NADA
(Factory Image Study)
9:00 - 9:45 a.m.
Room N233

NADA will announce the findings of an independent study that focuses on the cost effectiveness of factory image programs. Glenn Mercer, the well-known industry analyst who conducted the study, will present the findings and answer questions. This is the first study of its kind to take an in-depth look at manufacturer programs that require new-car dealers to invest billions of dollars in facility upgrades. NADA Chairman Stephen W. Jonathan Banks, executive automotive analyst with the NADA Used Car Guide, will provide a 2012 forecast on where transaction prices are headed for both new and used vehicles. Banks will also discuss the primary market factors that led to record high used-vehicle prices in 2011 and how that will affect prices this year.
