Professional Community for Car Dealers, Marketing, Advertising and Sales Leaders
With the socialization of the search engine results on the way, one new startup called Likester seeks to collect data on your Facebook "likes" to create a searchable database of trends and popular content.
Alex Synder recently created a post on DealerRefresh which asks the question' How long will it take for Google to start using "likes" and "reviews" to influence SERP results?" If Likester can create this type of application, imagine what Google could do with all the social media "votes" on the web.
Creating an account is free on http://www.likester.com. After it loads your profile data and "likes" it will start to show you how other people perceive your likes and trends will begin to emerge. I included a screen shot from my "friends" tab:
Let's do a test. If all members of the ADM community participate, it will be fun to see the data stream:
1. Come and "like" the PCG Digital Marketing Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/PCGDigitalMarketing
2. Then locate the article link I posted which is the Yellow Pages Discussion, see below:
3. Click on the Like Button under the article as shown above.
4. That's it.
Then we can see how the data trends for this one article on the Relevance of The Yellow Pages that will receive many likes in a short period of time. I wonder if it will put the article on a Likester trending list.
So please come and like the article and I'll share the results.
