Ok, call me old school if you may, but I have heard many a salesperson, myself included, use the catch line "Did you push the buy it now button?" when a customer brings up the 'value' they found their trade online. Well that may all be changing now, or so it seems, as the Buy It Now button is upon us.
How many of you use the AutoTrader Trade In Market Place, the system developed around Robert Hollenshead's Buy Book Technologies? In case you don't know, you will soon know as the purchase of V-Auto, KBB and soon HomeNet put AutoTrader in a very stragtegic position to implement the Buy It Now button. There goes the old reliable "Did you push the button??!". They very well may have and if you were not on the other end of that buy, you just lost.
I've done a lot of research on this product as it is new to the St. Louis market area, but wanted to get some feed back from the community on this. I think the concept is brilliant, but I am a little hesitant on the details. Here are some links to read:
