Suppose one morning at the daily salesmeeting the high and almighty auto dealer took the stage and announced that he was going to give a $10,000.00 cash bonus for every car sold and delivered today. How many people in the room would sell a car that day? It would be the biggest day in history. Well, what would you do different that you didn't do yesterday? I have to believe you would greet that customer enthusiastically like it's the only person you're going to speak to. You'd get them to like you, ask them questions, listen to what they say, take control, and have them eating out of the palm of your hand. This would be followed by a "million dollar" presentation and a "million dollar" demonstration with a firm commitment to do business today. If at any time you came across any hurdle every manager in the store would become involved to help.
Am I pretty close or spot on? With that focus, that laser beam focus you would not be denied a car deal. We all know that bonus will not happen but the point of this is, remember why you came to work today. We as salespeople, if we put all our energy and focus into what we've been trained to do and do it right we cannot be denied.
