Every now & then I get asked these two questions. Do I use cue-cards and also how do you shoot a decent video in windy conditions?
In regards to cue-cards the answer is no.......... just a lot of practice! - lol! It does take time to get/feel comfortable in front of the camera and it`s definitely not for everyone.
Now as for "How do we shoot decent videos on windy days?"........ the first thing to remember is that you`re not making "Gone With the Wind" so it doesn`t always have to be exactly perfect. My colleague Pat, always says that I humanize the clips with my stories that I will insert as I`m showing a vehicle and we always attempt not to create videos that seem sort of "Robotic".
This clip we shot this past Friday and is just one of the many different ways that we have developed to deal with the weather elements. It comes out very clean & very effective with the added element of actually seeing me driving the vehicle and talking to you;
Think if you were in the market for a pre-owned Infiniti QX56 this might interest you
