Google Is BETA Testing Adwords Communication Extensions For Car Dealers

If you have been following my latest articles discussing Google Adwords, you are well aware that Google is testing new ad formats for the automotive industry.  

I have recently discussed the Google Advisor For Cars program which is very controversial.  I recently documented that Google is testing live chat in text ads.  Change is in the air! 


So it should come as new surprise that Google is testing a few more ad formats called Google Communication Extensions.  The screen capture below shows that they are testing "offers" in the text ads which capture a consumer's email address.


I am note sure how well this ad format will work.  I am not confident that there is enough information to compel a consumer to supply their email address.  


What do you think about this new BETA ad format? All I can say is that Google has been busy testing new paid search formats.

I agree with your point about there not being enough compelling information to put in an email address. The phrase "Get offers" (as it relates to buying a car) is vague as well. I definitely wouldn't put my own email address into something like that. Great find, though! Thanks for the post.
