A well-organized Staff page is a great way to encourage a relationship between your customers and your dealership. Listing all of the employees, their titles, and a photo to go with it allows the customer to put names to faces before they come in. Also, including contact information, such as a phone number or e-mail address to reach each employee can also reduce frustration and will minimize use of the general number or operator to redirect them.
There are several different layouts you can utilize when setting up your Staff page. If you prefer not to use photos, a simple list of names and titles is sufficient. Photos, however, are an excellent addition, and allow you to portray your dealership's character through the smiling, well-dressed, professional individuals that make your Team worth coming back to visit every time!
As a chatter, I've had a customer chat in looking to buy specifically from a dealership with a Staff page. He refused to purchase from a dealership without one, and said that it was one of the biggest examples of a first impression for him. Be proud of those who work for you and display them on your website!
Some things to consider when creating your Staff page:
1. What is the reputation of your business, and do you want to convey strict professionalism, or experts with playfulness and a sense of humor?
2. Are your photos going to show employees in suits or polo shirts? Will they be smiling or not smiling?
3. Is your Staff page easy to find on the website and easy to navigate between the employees?
4. Will you place your highest positions at the top of the page? Will you include the General Manager?
Many little details to consider - but it makes a difference!
