ADM serves Car Dealers, Automotive Marketing Pros and Internet Sales Managers
I am a firm believer that AutoCon2012 will be the biggest event of this year, eclipsing all others including the DigitalDealer Conference. So when I received a request to submit a Speaker's submission, I was humbled and honored at the same time. My first thought was, "What would I talk about?"
I am an Internet Sales & Marketing Manager for a very real and successful dealer. My next thought was to wonder how my dealer would feel about it. When I approached him, with trepidation, he approved immediately. That left me no "out".
So I wrote the following as my submission:
Hmmm... If I am to speak at AutoCom2012, I would like to speak "From the Trenches". I would like to talk to everyday Internet Managers and BDC Managers about their road to success. I don't believe in Silver Bullets and superstardom. I have no agenda other than that.
And finally, I want to stress the importance of loving what you do and taking pride in it. Put things into perspective. (When I used to read about superstar Internet Managers selling 800 cars a month, it used to depress me until I divided their number of dealerships by cars sold and found they were no better than me).
Ralph Paglia and Jim Zeigler have both won the Passion Award. I want to be next. That's my agenda.
