Have you ever wonder how to create effective videos on a shoestring budget? If you have I can help you! At the very first Digital Dealer Conference in 2006 Phil Sura of Unity Works Media presented his video products and they blew me away. The challenge was the cost. The software would read the speed of connection of the end user and serve up the proper size video for smooth viewing. It took me 6 months to get my owner to send me to the conference, there was no way he was going to spend any more money. I put video on the shelf and went to work on all the great information David Kain gave out on Email Templates. Then it it happened. YouTube and broadband came of age. When these two technologies intersected it made it possible to execute video on our web sites at no charge. The great thing about it, it’s as simple as cut and paste!

When I started placing video on my web site it only took 4 days to make me a firm believer in the power of video. That happened when a customer walked in the door, looked me in the eye and said, you’re the Internet Guy! Yes I am I Replied! As I watched the stats on YouTube I was amaze at how many people watched the videos. That meant people were staying on my web site for an additional 1-2 minutes. The sticker we make our web sites the better chance of conversion we have. About every 6 customers I work make mention of the personal videos on our web site. They go as far as thanking me for taking more time than other dealers.


One of many benefits of properly deploying video is Google Page One Management (GPOM) with the use of Video optimization. Google loves You Tube, They own it! Because of the high ranking Google gives to YouTube your videos will show up high on Google’s search results.

Ummmmmmm....... I think I`d rather be known more like the "Brett Favre of Video Marketing"!!!!~~~lol

That doesn`t sound quite as old as "Grand-Daddy"!!!!~~ lol

Ahhhhh........ what the hell...... either one`s cool with me my friend!

Unfortunately, as I said to you on the phone a few weeks back, the owner will not let me attend or go anywhere near NADA in Orlando........

WOW! Hey Tim looks like Mr. Friel really doesn`t like the idea of videos at all huh???

I think this statement really got me wondering where`s he coming from, "If you check real data you will see that Video is a money pit"....

Heck the cost to do my videos is just my time....... & if we sell a few cars a month from just the clips alone, it`s a no-brainer, since we`re not paying any 3rd party sources to create the videos.

Videos are not the "Ultimate Answer or Holy Grail" to car sales by any means, however, video certainly does have it`s place in our industry.
