If your dealership's or dealer group's Facebook Fan page isn't easy on the eyes, you might be scaring away your guests.
While it’s true that installing applications with great content is one of the easiest ways to build out a ‘fan worthy’ Facebook page for a car dealership, there are other strategic steps you should be taking to enhance the look, and feel of your page.
After adding more functionality to your page with powerful apps that add images and other goodies, you can take up a notch and layer on a smart (and visually appealing) wall posting strategy and you’ll be off to the automotive social media marketing races.
A few helpful reminders:
- long URLs are ugly
- headlines sell papers
- thumbnail images should inspire
- always @mention referenced pages
If you’re like most of us in this A.D.D. automotive world, you may occasionally move too fast and post something before it’s ready for prime time.
You can spruce up any post with a link shortener (Ralph recommends bit.ly), an attention grabbing headline, some great images that add some punch to your posts, and don't forget to give credit where credit is due with @mention or "source:" links to your friends, followers, favorite bloggers and fans.
Don’t panic if you commit a party foul and push a weak post, that’s what the “remove” button is for on the upper right hand corner of every Facebook Page post.
Practice makes perfect. Happy Spring cleaning of your Facebook Fan page!
