The conference in Las Vegas last October drew over 540 attendees and featured 45 exhibitors. There were over 300 registered dealers, GMs, Internet Sales Managers, e-Commerce Directors and BDC/CRM Managers. The title of the event in Orlando is “Putting all the Pieces Together”, and as such, going forward, we’re opening the Digital Dealer Conference & Exposition up to fixed operations, pre-owned and F&I. We will have a track for each one of these departments, focusing specifically on how the Internet and technology can improve efficiency and increase profitability, leading to the dealership successfully managing customer relationships through the vehicle life cycle.
We expect 60-70 exhibitors and are shooting for 750+ attendees in Orlando this spring, including 500+ dealership attendees. We’ve done three of these now and have found the right balance in providing informative, information-packed sessions, leading dealerships sharing best practices, quality time with exhibitors and of course, peer networking. The speaking program will be heavy with practitioners who are having great success in their markets. Once again we’ll have a ½ day “newbie” class on Monday so anyone new to this side of the business (including dealers themselves) can get up to speed quickly and get the most out of the two days of powerful sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Our spring event also hosts the AAISP Annual Convention, and as such, the annual awards will be presented, recognizing the leaders and top performing Internet sales professionals from across the country. We are also planning to offer AAISP certification testing on Monday afternoon before the opening welcome reception. Don’t miss out on this first-ever opportunity to bring the entire dealership up to speed in every department. Internet Sales, DRM/BDC, and e-Commerce & technology for fixed operations, F&I and pre-owned departments…every dealership/group should be bringing 4-5 people. This is exactly what happened last event in Las Vegas, when Conference Chairman Michael Roscoe met several dealers who brought 3-4 people with them, leading to the idea of an Internet/technology-specific conference for every department in the dealership.
That idea was advanced at least in part by a session that touched on something Michael had said over a year ago…”ISMs/e-Commerce Directors are the GMs of the future.” Bringing all the departments together at one event may lead to the best thing to ever happen to ISMs / e-Commerce Directors…the rest of the dealership “getting it”.
