Joe and Ralph, I suppose that's what I was getting at and thanks for the transparency. BTW, SocialDealer has a great concept brewing, I just think I am one of many beta-testing their software. In a short period time, I think they'll have a VERY good product available.

Ralph - I like the fact that there are few judges.  I don't believe there are countless entities in our business that are truly "unbiased" so I think they did a good job with those of us they chose. With that said, you're right. There were not many to consider in many of the categories and a lot of the primary players were left out. Some of those listed were very well-deserving of the honor while others I questioned how they were nominated. (I think you know to whom I'm speaking of).
All companies were nominated by dealer personnel so next year, I'm sure they'll make a bigger push.  And hopefully those nominated companies will include in more information as it would make my job researching each tool much easier.

Joe Webb - I did not realize that there were as few judges as it turned out to be... My main complaint was the lack of very many companies to choose from.  Since this is the first year, that may explain not enough companies submitting proposals. Perhaps there will be more next year.  See you in Orlando!

I agree with some of these.

DealerOn does a good job, but it depends on which site you're referring to, some of their work is below average. Thank God you don't have Cobalt (*cough ADP) and listed.

I use SocialDealer for SM and RM, but the tool has a ton of bugs and I'm getting tired of having to E-mail them every hour to fix them and griping on usability best practices for their software interfaces. I'd rather be honest about it, since you're giving them an award. Is it because they are one of the few completely dedicated to dealer SM and RM management.

Not exactly sure why there is a Mobile category, it should just be for Websites alone. A good website is adaptive / responsive. There is no need for a specific mobile website. Even upon entering Drive Dominion's site, they have a page dedicated to Automotive Websites, not Mobile: Lo and behold, a ton of content describing 'Responsive Web Design'. Unless you're referring to

Ha ha, LOL at Joe Webb's comments!

Thanks for posting this Ralph. DealerRater is honored to be the joint recipient of this award. If you can't win it outright, tying with Brian Pasch, Marc McGurren and Ed Shaffer from PCG is an honor in itself, right? ;)

We are really excited about 2013! With a complete site redesign launching tomorrow that focuses on DMA level search and a truly groundbreaking study that we partnered with Polk on that finally draws a direct line for dealers who embrace reviews as a part of their culture to an increase in sales to be released at NADA, there is so much excitement at DealerRater HQ it is contagious.

I'll be at booth #3353 as much as I can throughout NADA and would love to meet any ADM members. Please stop by and say hello!

Ralph, I see you were a judge as well.  Let's meet up at NADA and share notes on how each other voted.
