Clean Car: How to Keep Your Vehicle Spic and Span All the Time

It’s really easy for a car to get dirty. This is especially true when you’re carrying lots of people in the car. Too often, people wait until the car is a disaster before they clean it out. Instead, focus on making sure that you develop the following habits when it relates to your car. As long as you do that, you’ll be able to maintain an immaculately spotless vehicle.

Take Your Trash with You

If you order take-out, it’s always ideal to wait until you get home to eat it. However, if you can’t wait, just make sure that you take your trash with you. Don’t stuff fast food trays, unopened ketchup and forks in the glove compartment, underneath the seat, or in the armrest console. As you get out of the car, your trash needs to go with you.

Keep a Hand Vacuum in the Car

If you have a hand vacuum, it’s a lot easier to clean as you go. You won’t have to visit the gas station to clean out your car every week. As something spills, you can pull out the hand vacuum and clean it immediately.

Stay on Top of the Scents

There are so many ways to make sure your car smells good. First, take your trash with you. Never leave trash sitting. Crack open the windows overnight. This allows air to regularly circulate within the car. Purchase bulk car air fresheners to save money, you’ll always need one on-hand. Always keep one in a corner of the car for a pleasant scent.

Do a Wipe down Each Week

You can purchase disinfectant wipes to wipe down all of the surfaces. You never want to allow bacteria and dirt to pile up. Keep wipes on hand to cover the various surfaces (car seats, seatbelts, etc.). You’ll also want to wipe down the inside of the windows with a glass cleaner and a cleansing wipe. If you have leather seats, you’ll want to use a cleaner that specifically works for leather upholstery. You can also dust the surfaces with a small duster. Pick a day and time each week and stick to it.

In the beginning, it might feel challenging to develop these habits. You have to prioritize the process. You know that you have to eat a certain number of times each day. To maintain your health, you prioritize your food. While it might not be the first priority, remember to prioritize your car. Soon enough, it’ll become second-nature.
