Professional Community for Automotive Marketers, Car Dealers, OEM and Suppliers
In preparation for a webinar I am doing today with DealersEdge.com covering the topic "Car Dealers Are Under Attack", I wanted to share one screen shot the perfectly demonstrates a significant problem that faces most car dealers.
For many organic searches, car dealers websites are becoming non-relevant, like for year, make and model searches. They are also becoming less relevant for simpler search your brand and city.
To compound that problem, they are not even coming up for year make and model searches in their own town. And if they do, the rest of the page is filled with lead collectors and review sites that pull leads away from dealers that would otherwise go directly to their CRM.
In the screen shot below, I searched for a car that is in stock at Norseman's in Detroit Lakes. I picked this example because Detroit Lakes is not a big city like Boston or Dallas where competition is amplified by population and store density.
The search I conducted in Google was: 2009 Buick Lucerne Detroit Lakes
Norsemans website is www.Norsemans.com. Tell me what you see wrong with this search result.
