Tucson, AZ - As with any promotion they embark on, the Jim Click and Holmes Tuttle automotive teams like to "go big or go home." For this reason, when it came time to generate excitement, sell cars and drive attendance at the three-day-long Tucson Convention Center (TCC) sale, the Jim Click and Holmes Tuttle automotive team turned to Arrowhead Advertising and SCA Promotions. Arrowhead Advertising administered the "Jim Click and Holmes Tuttle Markdown Madness TCC Super Sale Direct Mail Promotion," and SCA Promotions covered the $25,000 grand prize.
To generate excitement for the TCC Super Sale and the 2,000 vehicles available on-site, Jim Click and Holmes Tuttle sent out 100,000 mail pieces, each containing a unique number indicating the recipient had the chance to win cash prizes including $50, $500, $1,000, or $25,000. Guaranteed discounts and other incentives were also offered. Direct mail recipients were invited to bring their mailer to the three-day TCC sale to compare with the posted winning number.
The promotion was hugely successful with 50% of attendees indicating the mailer had brought them to the sale. Both automotive groups were so pleased with the promotion that they ran it a second time, selling over 400 vehicles in three days. "The promotion created a lot of excitement in the community. We were overwhelmed with this promotion by how many people came to see if they had won," said a representative for Arrowhead Advertising.
