BMW Lets Drivers Out Of Leases
Another Example Of Lease Flexibility Benefiting Car Makers
BMW announced recently a program effective through the end of October that enables its lease customers to skip certain payments in an effort to boost sales of its new or certified used cars. BMW hopes to entice lease drivers by relaxing the strict policies of a lease contract.
Swapalease.com believes this latest example reinforces the thinking that flexible lease policies can help carmakers increase inventory turns. Swapalease.com helps lessees escape their lease contract early by transferring to a third-party individual.
BMW is a popular brand on the Swapalease.com website and many drivers say BMW’s lease policies are generally favorable.
Allowing lessees to transfer early immediately turns them into car shoppers, benefitting car dealers, while banks continue to get paid by the second person who picked up the remaining lease.
“Swapalease.com customers prove each day that flexible lease programs increase industry satisfaction and create higher sales for dealers,” said Scot Hall, Executive Vice President of Swapalease.com. “Dealers would enjoy more inventory turnover and higher sales since customers would shop for new lease or finance deals more frequently.”
