With the onset of monsoon, as always, Indian roads get clogged with water. You need to take extra care of your car as there are several factors that make driving unsafe during the rainy season. Not only does the monsoon bring forth heavy traffic jams, slippery roads, and potholes, it may also cause your car to function improperly resulting in problems such as compromised braking, corrosion etc. So, if you are planning to hit the road during rains, make sure that you take care of the things listed below:

Tires

You need to thoroughly check your car’s tires during monsoons. Tires are subject to more wear and tear during monsoon, which in turn makes it difficult for the driver to drive properly.

While monitoring your tires, make sure that about 30% thread is still left on them. Otherwise, go for the new ones.

Wipers

Rains can hinder the view which makes it difficult for the driver to get the correct sense of the roads. Wipers help in removing water and dust from the windscreen and offer a clearer view of the road. Due to the ceaseless exposure, wipers may wear out quite fast.

In order to ensure that your wipers are in a good working condition, keep conducting routine checks on them. If they require replacement, prioritize that.

You must also keep 3M car care products like washer fluids topped up, in order to keep your windscreen as clean as possible.

Windshield

Your car windshield is incessantly showered with debris and water. If they are neglected, it may incur large cracks, enough to let water and dust to enter the cabin. This will further damage the windshield which would eventually require replacement.

If your windshield is cracked and you are looking for the replacement to make sure that you don’t face any problem during monsoons, get it done without any further delay. Be it the hunt for Hyundai i20’s wiper blades in monsoon or your confusion regarding Maruti Swift front glass price, it is always great to do your research prior to buying, considering the importance of windshields for your car.

If you pay a little attention to the aforementioned components, you can surely avoid any unwanted situations during monsoons. Apart from these, you can also keep your own emergency kits handy and you are good to go, ready and safe!
