3 Ways to Help your Car Engine Run at Maximum Efficiency

The condition of the engine in your vehicle will determine how well it runs and how long the car lasts. Although many car owners make it a point to wash the vehicle or get the oil changed, the engine often needs more attention to run at its maximum efficiency. To improve your car engine, there are a few important steps to take with the help of a professional.

1. Increase the Compression
Build the compression into the engine to build in power, which should be done with the assistance of an engine builder who will be able to offer their expertise on the compression and cam selection. This will allow it to have more power without causing damage to the parts. Avoid compression that exceeds 10.0:1 to avoid spark knock, pre-ignition, and detonation.

2. Inspect the Ignition Systems
It's important to inspect the ignition systems on a regular basis while also replacing the spark plugs periodically. It's also important to use original equipment grade high-end aftermarket parts for more power. Companies like Power Test Inc. can perform engine overhaul or repairs after inspections to ensure that the engine has a longer lifespan and that damage is avoided.

Ignition timing should also be performed because it can cause damage to the engine if there's too much of it. It should be set at 2500 rpm and 32 degrees BTDC. The tuner should also not exceed 36 degrees BTDC to avoid detonation that can occur.

3. Use Synthetic Lubricants
You can reduce the amount of friction that is present in your engine by using synthetic lubricants, which will allow it to last longer due to higher quality products. This will allow the parts to move more smoothly when the car is running compared to conventional oils that are commonly used. This will also prevent the different parts from breaking down in high-heat or high-stress situations for a higher level of performance. Synthetic lubricants also allow the engine to run more efficiently in cold weather and can protect against deposits.

By taking the necessary steps, there are several ways to help your car engine run more efficiently and with more power. With the proper maintenance and care, you'll be able to increase the lifespan of the engine and allow it to run more smoothly. By working with a professional, it will also allow you to protect your vehicle from damage due to a lack of expertise.
