Courtesy San Diego Email-Video-Microsite Database Marketing Campaign

Here's a great example of using a combination of email, online video and model-specific microsites to pull together an effective and personalized autoresponse targeted to customers who have submitted leads from 3rd party lead providers... Here's the email structure sent out by the dealership as best as I could copy and paste it into this Blog posting format:

Hi Ralph,

Please View my Welcome Video Message Below!

The links in the email when the customer clicks on Carissa's image point to the following site which you can visit to see her message and video clip:

Next to Carissa's very charismatic video message to the online car shopper who has submitted a lead, the video landing page has links into several Courtesy Chevrolet web sites and deep-links into inventory. Additionally, Carissa displays the following information in a text box to the right of the video clip that tells the potential car buyer some personal background about herself:
"Hello my name is Carissa Castle! I am a proud mother of a 10 month old son. I like to have a good time wherever I am and live life to the fullest. I love sharing laughs with my customers! I enjoy reading, music, dancing, make-up, shoes, shopping (what girls doesn't?) and watching the latest UFC fight. My customers find me very helpful, informative, patient, and reliable. I consider myself a sales professional due to my eight years of sales and sales management experience. I am not just looking for a deal today, I sincerely hope to be you and your family's vehicle consultant. Thank you for visiting my page, and I look forward to earning your business!"

In my humble opinion, this approach may not be ideal for every ISM, but in Carissa's case it is a powerful and compelling set of communications that will help her to establish a professional relationship with her assigned leads in an accelerated and more successful manner.
