Why you must have a Mobile Video Marketing Strategy

If you’re like me, you continually attend a great number of events, seminars and meetings.
It seems that no matter what the key focus of an event is, somehow the topic of video weaves its way into the presentation or conversation.  Whether it is social or business, video has become the most compelling communication medium on the internet.  Let’s look at three key reasons for making video a must in your marketing plans.

Video content on the internet is poised for explosive growth.
By 2017 it is estimated that 74%
of the world’s internet traffic will be video and this number grows to 80% by 2019.  Mobile growth is poised for explosive growth.  By 2020, 75% of Mobile Traffic will be Video - that’s up from 55% in 2015.

In a recent study of top level executives, 59% said they would rather watch a video about your product or service than read an article about either.
Think about the  implications of these numbers and what your audience is asking you for.  They are wanting to sit back, relax, push the play button and be informed-entertained.  Sitting at the top of the type of video that is most influential is short, 60 seconds or less, video that is natural and organic.

Thanks for the comments.  YouTube is a great platform and it's necessary for a variety of reasons to upload and have some specific videos present on their repository.  But when it comes to the needs of business it has limitations.

With those limitations in mind and with an understanding of what a business really needs in today's digital environment to effectively market using video on a regular basis that lead me to develop our current Rapport 24/7 Video Capture APP + Cloud Video Management Console.  We're a video repository for business and a complete video content management tool for a business' videos.

With Rapport 24/7 the business is in full control of which videos get publicly shared.  The APP lets the business empower as many people as they choose to become points for video creation and capture.  All video are uploaded directly to the businesses management console and the business decides whether it will be publicly visible.  The APP does not permit the created video to be saved by the APP user, "only" the business has viewing and management access to the videos.

The management console gives the business ultimate power over where the video is shared.  One of the best things about the APP and Console is the simplicity of use.  We've taken the "Tech" out and put the easy & simple in.  Video management truly takes only minutes a day.

I welcome further comments or inquiries.

i agree with the concept, but do you have any tangible ideas for implementation?

I started using video more than a decade ago.

The most important lesson I learned is that not all content should be posted to YouTube.

Like a test drive or walk around, you want the prospect to be focused on you. A challenge with YouTube is at the end of your video clip it could very well be the sales guy down the street who pops up next.

YouTube has it's place. But if you want to make it personal, YouTube is not the solution.
