Who is John Zeiglar ?

How can I find the company he is said to work for, Performance Company?

What is a “performance writer”?

Why would an author allow his name to be mis-spelled regularly in the same publication repeatedly over many months?

Has anyone seen him registered on any Automotive blogs, Facebook, LinkedIn…anywhere?

John strongly recommends many company’s goods and services in his articles. I would like to know more about John, his consultancy, and the company he works for so I can more accurately weigh his opinions and statement of fact.

Feel free to post if you have any ideas on how I can get some of my questions answered.   Thanks!

Thank you Thomas and Scott for the kind words. I truly appreciate it. There are a bunch of really great people in this industry and I've been fortunate to meet many of them and hire a few of them along the way.

I second Thomas' thoughts. For those who do not know you, I would say they are missing out on a worthwhile relationship. That goes for your staff also. I am fortunate to have gotten to know some of them over the years and you are all first class.

Thank you Harlene, I admire what you did in that policy change and for all of the many things you do for industry.

Sure I know, I was the one pushing that change in agenda. I've always believed our readers deserved to be able to reach out to our writers. Our readers like to reach out to our writers, sometimes to just comment, sometimes for advice, sometimes to do business with them. When you are using a pseudonym you can't get that connectivity and I feel it's a disservice to Auto Dealer Monthly readers. For the record Sean wasn't the only person all those years ago who took that approach, he was just more aggressive about it while he was building BZ than most vendors.

Thank you Harlene, the information you provided will end this thread shortly I expect. Can I ask what lead Auto Dealer Monthly's decision to only allow authentic authors, if you know?

Thanks again Harlene!

Be  happy to solve that mystery for you Thomas, John was a pseudonym created by Sean Wolfington 8 years ago although I believe they were written by Daymond Decker, he should be able to verify that one. Auto Dealer Monthly hasn't allowed anything but authentic authors for many years now however we have archives of online and printed published articles for more than 10 years on our site.

If you know the right questions to ask in this industry and who to ask you can find a wealth of information. Thanks for spending time on our site.

Since we can't be sure how he really spells his name...maybe we should just refer to him as Ziggy???

John does not seem to mind a little "cross pollination" every once in awhile on the same publication, John is a pretty easy going fella...I'd really like to meet him...and his "associates"
