IDV, which is also popular by the name of Insured Declared Value is basically the maximum sum insured amount that is fixed by the insurance company for your vehicle.
The insurance company offers the sum assured fixed amount in case of theft or in the occasion of an accident. IDV in common language is the current market cost of the 2-wheeler. In case your two wheeler face loss in an accident, or theft, the insurance company will pay the insured value.
