Contrary to popular belief, advertising isn’t just about creating brand awareness, though that is one step of the process. Actually, advertising’s goal is to create customers, or so says Daniel Newman, digital marketing contributor to Forbes Magazine.
In a recent article, he explained, “With the proliferation of digital marketing, social media, and the hyper-aware consumer . . . the role of marketing has evolved. . . . Having said that, the growth of new channels hasn’t changed the…Continue

How many more cars can a dealership sell because of social media?
Any social media expert would hate to hear this question, the pro would respond with “you are not on these networks to close sales, you are here to build relationships”. They are very right in saying this, yet lets just say we give this question a bit of thought. The dealership that asks the question isn't wrong in asking either. If it’s not the most visited area in an automotive dealership, it’s arguably one with the most captive audiences.
No, it’s not the sales floor; it’s your automotive service area.
Whether it’s waiting for a vehicle to get prepped for delivery or waiting for it to get serviced, the automotive service area—more specifically the lounge—is home to the section of your dealership that has few distractions for customers, i.e. an audience that has little to do but wait.

When it comes to choosing a customer retention marketing provider, car dealerships need to evaluate the technology behind the programs. In looking at this technology, three of the following topics must be addressed:

(2) Will it be compatible with your operating system?
(3) Will it be able to pull current, actionable customer data?
In a perfect world, you…Continue
