One of the free business directory platforms that dealers can use to syndicate content, collect reviews, or include for Page One Defense is MerchantCircle.com. I encourage all members of this community to claim and enhance their MerchantCircle free listing. You do not need to pay for an upgraded account.
I received an interesting email today which caught my eye because a number of the clients in their "Automotive Newsletter" were ours and I saw that they were syndicating… Continue

Car dealers looking to expand their content publishing strategies to offsite web properties should consider free and low-cost press release publishing websites.
As content syndication
becomes for important to a dealer's digital marketing strategy, dealers will need to locate great places to publish content.
One of those resources for content syndication are free and low cost press… Continue

Earlier this week Dealer.com held a webinar to introduce its new Social Relationship Manager tool, or SRM. I was not able to attend but I did spend some time on an in-depth review
of it here on ADM the other day by Brian Pasch
, who has a knack for breaking things like this down in to its components.… Continue

As dealer's define their social media strategies there is always a need for engaging content. We hold contests, write blogs, shoot video and post customer pictures/testimonials. I'm sure throughout each month your internet manager has moments where they are scouring the dealership and the web for that content for their channels. Sometimes great content can be found right under our noses. I was at a client's dealership and I passed this sign propped up against a wall, either waiting to be… Continue

Hi Everyone! I am very, very new to this and upon the advise of my new friend Frank Davis, am seeking the advise of ya'll. While I am not new to marketing, advertising, and online leads, I am new to this industry. I am trying to figure out what topics to talk about in an on-going blog that will be posted on our website. My previous blogging experience was more of an on-going chat session about community watch and apartment living. I have noticed several blog sites that are not what I consider… Continue

Based on feedback from members of the ADM community as well as other automotive leaders, I have created a revised formula for calculating a POD Score™ that is designed to give dealers a quick measure of how well their name is being defended/protected online when consumers perform a "direct search" on their name in Google.
Related to this… Continue

I'm as guilty as anyone of writing articles late at night and making numerous spelling mistakes. I excuse myself for at least having the energy to post articles around the clock but that is still no excuse.
In reality, spelling errors may cast a negative impression of your dealership to online readers.
Tonight I was on Facebook and just laughed when I saw this paid ad shown on the right of my profile based in New Jersey. From what I can see… Continue

I keep Google Alerts running for all my clients and I was interested in an alert that popped up yesterday for the name "Carson Toyota". The alert was triggered by an effective Automotive SEO strategy employed by Dealer.com which creates a car listing page that is optimized for a city inside or outside of a dealer's PMA.
In this case, the city happened also to be my client's name, which is Carson Toyota
is Carson California. If you are not using… Continue

According to Wikipedia, the definition of user generated content is: Various kinds of media content, publicly available, that are produced by the end user.
That being said, it is a surprise it isn't used more often. We live in a communication driven society, while we may not speak face to face as much, we can reach a much wider audience of people than was ever possible before. One of the single most important… Continue

Dealerships have no choice but to participate in User Generated Content (UGC) activity on Social Networks
Dealers and OEM’s are no longer leading the brand conversation. Customers are moving from merely commenting on products and service to creating their own messaging and content about their brand and dealership experience. Dealers who do not participate with their online communities risk having their brand defined for them.

Many Automotive Digital Marketing professionals have asked me "How do I get started with using Video to attract customers?"... There are a lot of ways to leverage the car buying public's seemingly insatiable appetite for online video clips. Certainly the whole industry has by now been pitched on using video clips created by vendors like Unity Works Media… Continue
