Ruffled Feathers: Why Controversy Works on Blog Posts

Argument

If someone asked me for a single piece of advice about blogging, it wouldn’t be a standard answer like “post regularly” or “know your audience”. It wouldn’t be to “find a niche” or “add keywords to your title”. It’s not professional journalism. You’re not writing a column. On a…

Put Her in the Driver's Seat: Social Tools Empower Women's Car Buying Process

Blogher.com and J D Power asked both men and women to describe their range of emotions while going through the automotive purchasing cycle.  Both genders listed “excited” as the primary emotion with men at 71% and women at 74%. Women were also more nervous (53%) during the process than men (42%) and less confident (30%) than men (37%).

However, when we filtered the same question results through those who had used either blogs or social networks to help with car information…

Reader Beware-The Internet is Filled with Inexperience

Yesterday, a colleague sent me a blog post that made me laugh right out loud because of the absurdity of what was being proposed and recommended. Unfortunately, I know the writer who is fresh out of college with lots of potential, but was given the privilege to write for her company’s blog with obviously no editing or guidelines. Her inexperience of workplace standards, legality and employee rights…

In my last post I talked about what a Blog can do for your Dealership. I wanted to touch back and add a key point. I received a couple of phone calls and e-mails on this topic, so I thought I would go back and post it for the others that may be asking the same question.

The Purpose and Benefits of a BLOG

This is something all of you can do, that is free, no very time consuming at all, and will do nothing but benefit your Dealership. Several months ago I researched what BLOG'S were and what they really do for you. I noticed that many businesses were doing them and found out that the largest benefit was in S.E.O. for your Dealer Website. Google, with it's all search format, will rank someone higher that has more information on a particular… Continue
