There is a sense of entitlement that customers have today that hasn’t always been evident. Marshall Field, the American department store owner coined the phrase, “Right or wrong, the Customer is always right“. I opine whether he took into consideration the type of customers who are price conscious, yet expect the deepest appreciation for their having done business with us.
I don’t blame these customers. I earned the money I make, and I want to keep as much of it as possible. Even if… Continue

Automotive advertising agencies have been forced to re-invent their roles in today’s troubled economy. An automotive advertising agency used to focus exclusively on the message and the media with little participation in the sales process in their auto dealer clients real or virtual showrooms.
Given today’s need to improve the R.O.I. on their automotive advertising dollars auto dealers are demanding much more from their full service automotive advertising agencies.

This is something all of you can do, that is free, no very time consuming at all, and will do nothing but benefit your Dealership. Several months ago I researched what BLOG'S were and what they really do for you. I noticed that many businesses were doing them and found out that the largest benefit was in S.E.O. for your Dealer Website. Google, with it's all search format, will rank someone higher that has more information on a particular… Continue

Proposed Fuel Economy Law Criticized for Understating Gas Prices
Critics of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) proposed federal fuel economy regulations (known as "CAFE") for 2011-2015 are asserting that the proposed standards are too low due to faulty assumptions about gasoline prices. They argue the gasoline price estimate is about $1.50 per gallon below current prices.
The energy bill enacted in December directed NHTSA to set standards requiring… Continue

I recently came across this article by Jill Griffin. Although this article was published in February of 2000, the principles remain the same for building and implementing a solid loyalty program. What's interesting is that we were facing a similar economy in 2000 as we are today, in 2008. Companies who have embraced loyalty programs prior to today are reaping the benefits. It's not too late though…
Jill Griffin is the author of "Customer Loyalty: How to Earn It, How to Keep It."… Continue

Automotive advertising agencies are being asked to justify their value to auto dealers who are challenging every line item expense to survive in a down market. In today’s troubled auto industry automotive advertising agency fees or commissions are expected to provide an acceptable R.O.I. for auto dealers along with the media that the automotive advertising agency recommends.
Conventional automotive advertising agencies relying on media commissions or production fees are a dying breed as… Continue

Historically, search engines have been unable to extract content, such as text and links, from Flash (SWF) files. Subsequently, much of the Flash-based content on the web has been unavailable in search results. This situation has been frustrating for web developers, who have tried to come up with workarounds to help get search engines to index and rank their Flash pages. Recent developments by Google

Hello Digital Marketing professionals... My wife and I are actively in the process of locating a pre-owned vehicle. The experience has been shocking. No, I will not name names, but I will point out a few observations:
